Default AVI MPEG

Hi,

Anyone please give me advise as to how I can convert some big *** high
resolution AVI to a compressed small downloadable MPEG?

I have been looking for a software but was unable to find one. i want to
post more track event mpeg but they are huge.

First, find a utility that does .avi to .mpg...then convert the .mpg to a divx avi using flaskmpeg. Divx avi's are small and good quality.

I think most video editing applications can write to vcd since it's really a derivative of .mpg.

Search on zdnet.com under the download section, or download.com. They both have freeware and shareware utilities to do the things you're talking about.

MPEG1 is the format used on VCD, you just have to make sure you have it at the right resolution and framerate!! If you now have the file, just use software like Easy CD Creator (preffered, with step through wizard) or nero to burn the VCD!!
