My alarm is malfunctioning.. This is wierd.. the power door locks still work when I use the remote.. but the alarm doesn't arm.. so if someone were to break in it wouldn't honk at all.. is the alarm dead? or possible the door or trunk switch is bad? any technician in here?

first of all, what kind of alarm do you have?

 

maybe the hood or trunk is popped but not open? when not all of the areas are closed the alarm wont arm. Maybe the hood?

 

it might be in valet mode...is the led steady or blinking?

 

its stock, is there a valet mode on a stock alarm even?

 

The LED light is dead.. doesn't light up at all or blink.. But the thing is when I drive it doesn't show any doors open or the trunk or hood.. Does the alarm actually have their own door switches?
