Default Sign that you are getting in too fast in a corner...

I guess I trusted my R so much in a corner..until today...
it is a really bent, 270 degrees turn....
basically this is also the 1st time I get in to that ramp, so I probably took it wrong(the Apex, etc-etc).. the road is a little slippery because the rain starts pouring...
for the 1st time ever, I feel the tail of my R sliding a bit, I must do a little correction to keep it straight..(you can hear my RE010 screeching all over)..

so, what is the sign that you are going too fast getting in a corner??
I mean, it was fun and I feel ok for this one time, but if I made a little mistake in that correction, I might lose my R and that ends my FUN...

By the way, I think I was running only around 55.. not sure of the Speed Limit on that ramp though... gonna check it later.
PS: on the Exit near my house (everyday), I can get in @45, exit @65 with 25 MPH speed Limit...without any doubt that my R can take it...

PiYo-who missed a lot of AutoX Time because sometimes, Life just plainly $UCKs.

a sign huh?

When I bite off more than I can chew, my rear begins to slide ever so slightly. That's how I know when I'm going too fast. How do I correct? Easing off the gas makes the tail slide worse, but it's not like I can speed up, so what I do is I let off for a split second to slide the tail to slightly oversteer my desired path *a little* and then hit the gas to straighten out.

One other thing...I never take a tricky turn the first time at the limit...I only do that when I know the road...a sudden decline can really wreck your day in the middle of a turn.

loss of traction. if you dont know what that feels like, find a good parking lot & use it as a skid pad.

Sign that you're entering a corner too fast?? Well, I don't think there's really any way to tell that you've entered too fast until it's too late most of the time. If you can't hit the apex, feel like you need to hit the brakes mid way through, understeer into the grass, start screaming like a little girl, or any combination of those is probably a good sign that you've entered too fast.
Stephen - if you're car is already oversteering do not get off the gas, that will only compound the problem.
Dudes, careful on the streets eh.

I'm not sure taking public on/off ramps at very high speeds in the rain is a good idea on the stock tires. You want to be very very careful on the RE010s, they hyrdoplane very easily. The R will understeer slightly at the limits, and people panic and apply the breaks, which ofcourse compounds the problem and brings the rears around. If you throw in some moisture, it becomes very tricky to regain control if you loose it.

Be careful.

Knock on wood, I've never managed to break the re10s lose. I didn't know it was possable

A friend of mine thats a cop said they're told they can take most turns at around double the posted speed limit. I would imagine we could do slightly faster than that. But I would never push the R hard in the rain, or after it rains. The re10s aren't good wet tires.
