CRX wiring From DX to SI... Has anyone ever done this?
I have a JDM B16A SIR in my 1989 CRX DX. It was swaped by the previous owner. However, they did some bad wiring jobs. So I have started to rewire teh car to an SI. I started with just the engine harness, however, I came to find out that the engine harness would not work without the interior harness, now that I have the interior harness Im afraid that the inside fuse box may not be compatible. On the brighter side, I got to take out the rest of the A/C from under the dash. My question is, has any of you done this transition before. And if so, will I need to acquire anything to make these wiring harnesses work in my car, like a new fuse box or anything. Also, will the rear end of the interior DX harness work with the frontal portion of the SI harness.
Thanks

Yes I have done this but I don't understand what you are trying to do. I converted my DX harness to run the B16a by following the instructions on the Hasport site. From what I've seen it's a very bad idea to try to screw with any of the interior harness. It's just too hard to get it out. I also had an Si engine harness which I just used for connectors and wire.
What exactly is wrong with the current harness that you cannot fix without replacing the entire harness?

it has been spliced and rigged everywhere from sensors to the ignition to the stereo to VTEC. Everywhere we look there are wires that were hooked up by hand with wire nuts. Its an absolute mess. Some sensors are working some of the time some arent working at all. It was just easier to replace. We have already replaced it so thats not the issue.
