CRX wiring From DX to SI... Has anyone ever done this?
I have a JDM B16A SIR in my 1989 CRX DX. It was swaped by the previous owner. However, they did some bad wiring jobs. So I have started to rewire teh car to an SI. I started with just the engine harness, however, I came to find out that the engine harness would not work without the interior harness, now that I have the interior harness Im afraid that the inside fuse box may not be compatible. On the brighter side, I got to take out the rest of the A/C from under the dash. My question is, has any of you done this transition before. And if so, will I need to acquire anything to make these wiring harnesses work in my car, like a new fuse box or anything. Also, will the rear end of the interior DX harness work with the frontal portion of the SI harness.
Thanks
Adam

OK so let me see if I have this right?
You have a DX with the DX wire harness wired for a B16A right so far??
You want to take out the DX engine harness and swap it with the Si harness (which you already did right?)
You also want to swap out the DX chassis harness and swap in a Si chassis harness right??
And you also want to know if the rear DX harness will plug into the Si chassis harness?
OK well for the chassis harness which you probably already know that you have to take out everything to get to it. Everything will switch right over from the DX one to the Si one no different plugs or anything they route everything in the same exact place as the DX harness in the Si harness (Just got done doing this) So you wont have any problems what so ever swappiong them just follow the DX one with the Si one and you will be fine for the zip ties that are like screwed on if you take a pry bar (smaller one) they will pop right off and the ones from the Si one will pop right on. That will take care of the chassis harness. As for the DX rear harness pluggin into the Si chassis harness again plugs right in however I did swap mine out with an Si one but that was only because I had quite a few un-needed wires from the automatic tranny so again no problems there.
Hope I helped out its basically just patience otherwise its not too bad just follow everything and plug it in as you go the hardest ones were probably the door plugs since you have to like unclip them and then push it in through the side of the car but again not too bad at all.
If you have any other questions send me an IM and I will help you out the best I can!!

Oh so you have a 89 DX that you want to put the 91 Si hranesses into? I believe that they are the same but I am not sure?? I swapped out the 91 DX harnesses for the 91 Si harnesses so the years with mine didnt change but I dont see that there would be a different between the 2? Does your 89 DX have the seatbelts in the doors or in the pillars? I thought that they would be in the doors but?
