A'PEXi POWER FC
Talk to Dan at http://www.godspeed-motorsports.com
I think he had one once and he likes them. However, you better have some serious stuff under the hood to justify buying a $1300 ECU.
I think a V-AFC will be just as good unless you have some cams, and other big mods on your car.

Not to mention that to type in your Power FC settings would take for ever. Injector pulse ae every 500 RPMs and every 10% throttle, same for ignition, injector size, rev limit, idle w/o AC, idle with AC. It would take a while.

would like to know if the power FC is difficult to tune ? do you guys tune it on the dyno ? lambda sensor, orginal ??
thinking of Power FC or motec, just that motec costs much more....

Motec is WAY more sophisticated whereas the Power FC uses stock wiring and sensors. The Power FC is not difficult to tune, just takes some time is all. YOu have to use the lambda sensor on the dyno or get a seperate one.
thanks for the info...
seems like the power FC can also get the job done accept that is is not so complicated
i have friends that have the motec system hooked up with launch controls, shift light, motec lambda sensors, etc.......must say that the tuning via lap top needs some knowledge....there are so many parameters...
know where i can get some info knowhow on tuning any systems ??

Do all of you who have the Power FC use the FC Commander to control it, or do you hook up a laptop? I realize the Commander is better for on-the-fly tuning, but is there a program that comes with for laptop use?
Also does it come completely blank, or is there a default program already set?

Apexi USA will give you a different answer every single time. I asked as a dealer to order me a unit to use for my own use. They said no repeatedly so now I just import them direct from Japan. I used the FC in my ITR for a while and loved it. That's why I'm such a huge proponent of it. It's very user friendly and plug and play unlike many other standalone systems. Yes, you do need the control module and I usually only sell it with the module, otherwise it's pretty useless. I am EAGERLY awaiting the release of the Power FC for my GD/GG WRX. Hopefully soon. My big turbo I have coming next month requires an ECU upgrade/injector upgrade to get the most out of it.
how will power FC work on a turbo ITR? That unit replaces the factory unit completely right? Will the car run much safer with the addition of power FC? or stick with check valves? just curious.. thanks

I provide the directions in english for you on my units as well as tech support.
As for ICQ, I'm never on ICQ so don't bother adding me. Just check out my website. I've added a WRX section where I'll be adding more goodies.
