what ECU to use for a sohc vtec in an EF
i want to stay OBD0, and ive heard that its not a good idea to run a pr3 or pw0 on a sohc. anyone have any PERSONAL experience with swapping a y8 or a z6 in an EF?
I would recommend converting to OBD1 electronics (p28 ecu, distributor, injectors, and OBD0- OBD1 conversion harness). I done it on a friends car and it's pretty quick.
best setups....
if u go tmoney and can afford a OBD1 conversion (DO IT), and run a P28 ecu and u cna chip it to whatever u want....
if u wanna stay OBDO, use a PG7 off a 88-89 integra with a VAFC.... and there u go.... i am about to test a 90-91 integra PR4 ecu into my Z6 to see if it work.,, ill get back to ya on that....
the Si (PM6) ecu will work but the teg's ecu has better fuel maps and higer redline....
