Emission Fail Horribly!!!
just went to get my emission check and my GSR is failing horribly. In the state of GA, the allowed CO level is .79, but my GSR is at 2.09 I believe my o2 sensor is bad, but the check engine light doesn't come on. All I have is an injen short ram, greddy header, and greddy evo. Anyone has any suggest as to what the problems before I start buying parts???
normally do the tune up stuff if not done yet,
new plugs
new wires
cap & rotor
oil change
pcv valve
and keep the cat HOT before the test, take it for a good drive before the test and don't turn off the motor waiting for the test. hth

Where in GA do you live?
In newnan, you slip the guy 50 bux, and you "pass." That's for OBD1 cars.
If you are OBD2, I know hella people that can pass your car for free, since they are starting to hook them up to the computer now.

How long do you let the engine run before going to the station? A defective O2 sensor may cause the computer to run in closed-loop mode indefinitely, but I don't anyone that had a bad O2 sensor, so....Also, it may take a good amount of time for the cat in the Evo exhaust to warmup enough to be functionable.

could be timing...... could be time for a newer cat... if it was your o2 sensor u car would have a hard time pulling, u would really feel the difference...
could be your cat wasnt warmed up....
these are just a couple of reasons..
but i also failed realy bad, then i rememberd that my timing was retarted 4 degress(12). brought it back to 16 and passed....

I live in Gwinnet GA. Passing the emission is important, but my main concern is whether there is a real problem to the car that cause it to have such a high carbon monoxide level. I don't think it the cat because the car pass on the nitrogen level. I also fail on the unburn fuel (but not too much) so I guess that there is a problem in the car air intake level. There maybe too little air coming in. But that is just my assumption, someone else has any better idea?

do all of what black LS suggested
and
clean your air filter with K&N recharge kit. (assuming that you have a K&N on the Injen)
Also clean out your throttle body and Intake manifold with commercially available cleaners.
you can use header wrap to help hold heat in to keep the header hotter thus making the cat hotter.
header wrap will most likely void the warrenty on your header though.
