JDM ITR 5 lug suspension swap
What are the benefits of an ITR 5 lug conversion? I know it's stronger then 4 lug and a wider wheel selection but what else, like performance wise. The suspension is the most important thing to me on my car and i would like to eventually take this car to some auto cross type tracks and race around and go to those schools for learning how to race on those types of tracks.
I found a thread on this @ JDMC, but i want to know da benefits of doing it on a teg.

Well, youll have a better braking system for one. You'll also be able to run a full ITR suspension (springs/shocks) with the conversion, as youll have R LCA's. You'll also be able to run some of the higher end JDM coilovers that are designed specifically for ITR's.
so do u think it will be better to get these:

In terms of money, you can still have a comprable setup of aftermarket parts for way less than $2k there.
Check out http://www.fastbrakes.com for the brakes. For the $2k, you could score bigger brakes, springs, adjustable shocks, Rotas/tires, swaybars, and SS lines. At least.
This is all depending on what you want to do with the car, and if you really are pushing the limits of the stock or modified stock componens. You may be happy with just some blanks, upgraded Hawk or Cobalt pads and some SS lines. The ITR conversion is definitely nice, but its pricey. Essentially, you pay $1600 for better brakes, 5 lugs, and wheels/tires. When it comes down to it, you can spend $500 at fastbrakes and $700 on Rotas/Tires if you wanted.
