The new JDM craze!
Sorry, but I couldn't resist.. 
At night time, the rear looks scary, because you don't see the bumper just blackness and an exhaust
This might be the next big thing in JDM land!

And no, its not for weight reduction - its a new unpainted bumper - my friend rear-ended me on the street, and made a big hole in my old bumper, so insurance paid for a new one

Yeah I know about that - some of those plastic clip-lock things (don't know the proper name for them) broke off in the collision, so thats why its hanging like that. Honda will fix that up though, don't worry about it - The only reason why the bumper is on the back in this state was for re-alignment of my exhaust, that's all The civic goes into Honda on monday for new paint on the front, rear, and paint on the hood to clear up some scratches

There was some guy on here that had a hatch with the hood, roof, rear hatch, and both bumpers PAINTED black with the rest bronze...maybe it is a trend?!?!

One quick question. If I wanted to switch bumpers from my 96-98 to the 99-00, does it just fit on like and line up, or is there some modification neccessary?Thanks. I like how the lip sits lower on the 99-00 rear bumpers.
I found my answer. Yes-it fits perfectly, it's just the my lip that I'll have to "modify" to make it fit.

thats me,.......
had my hood and bumpers oem non painted black for the last year now,
the roof and tailgate have been painted just recently, got the painting the roof and tailgate idea off some pics off some true jdm eg6 race hatches, here are my pics:
