i took off my gsr head and am trying to tell what cams i have since i got the motor used.is there any specific lines or markings i can look for to see if there skunk2 or type r,or gsr.

 

honda cams are black
skunks are shiny steel with no friction coating having bigger lobes
GSR cams have slightly larger VTEC lobes
side by side... the ITR/CTR cams are a good deal bigger.
there is a website with the cams' markings just do a
search on Cam ID + VTEC on google, it will pop up. if not
I will post the link if I can find, there was a dead one now its
functional again. the cam id is hidden when installed.

 

on the dist. side of the intake cam, there will be two rings as opposed to only one.
