I installed a full I/H/E last night.. and now i have a few problems....

first... the harness plug broke to the o2 sensor that plugs into the factor harness.. now i am trying to figure out what wire on the o2 sensor goes to what on the car harness... also. it appears that the header is a little crooked where it meets the cat...

so when i start the car after pulling the ECU fuse for 5 minutes.. it hesitates.. idles real low for about 2-3 seconds... then jumps to about 1200rpms and the check engine light comes on... it also appears (and smells) that its burning a little rich.


any help is GREATLY appreciated.. please help guys.

Sounds to me like the busted O2 sensor fitting is the root of the problem. If the O2 sensor is intact, there could be an exhaust leak ahead of it that's causing it to pick up a falsely lean condition, and richen the mixture. Just a shot in the dark.
