Default Successful Chicago Type-R Meet!

Well, the 2nd Chicago Type-R meet was a success. As usual more guys than we thought showed up. I think we had close to 10 Type-R's. Definately a great meet and met some new people.

We will hopefully get one more meet together before the summer is over. Possibly sponsered by a local dealer. We are hoping everyone can make it to the next one because we should easily have 20+ Type-R's if everyone comes! (heh, we may even beat the expo's turn out j/k).

Thanks to all who showed and pictures should be posted soon!

We had 10: 6 yellow, 2 black, and 2 white. That doesn't include the Rwannabe (plain jane Integra with Type R wing that insisted on parking with us at the restaurant).

It was nice to see everyone. Okay, so it started to rain, and we went out to eat together. Still lots of fun to spend time together, inside as well as out.

Did someone have a problem on Lake-Cook Road after we left the restaurant?

Here is a picture from the meet. Some guy parked next to us when we were in Chilis. We have no idea who it was, but he was a wanna-be Type-R. (Note: loading may be slow, i think my roommates are downloading **** and killing bandwidth again).

Wow, okay, relax guys. It's kewl, I agree, if he likes the way his car looks then that is all that matters. We just thought it was funny because his car looked like a Type-R a little and then he parked next to all of ours at Chili's

If it weren't an R wannabe, he wouldn't have parked next to all the R's, away from all the other cars in the lot.

I'm surprised he didn't buy the stickers. Oh wait, those rubber door moldings might have prevented him from putting them on where they're supposed to go.

I'm not trying to flame anyone, just want to make an observation and a statement.
Why is it when some Type R people make comments on the Type R board, a bunch of people without Type R's get all defensive and start flaming?! If you don't like what the R people are saying, go some place else!
Just my 2 cents.

It's all good guys,
last year my GSR was parked next to a Type-R, in fact I found out who it was, it was VTecOnly's brother. VTecOnly owns a red GSR, his bro the Type-R.
Anyways whereas I didnt try to make my car look like a Type-R, it was cool having the 2 cars parked next to each other. In fact let me rephrase this...
I know all the GSR people will get a kick out of this...
The TYPE-R parked next to me!!!
Yup I parked it at a beach and went to take a walk. When I got back, I notice my car with a slightly higher SPOILER!! Then upon getting closer it was the TYpe-R parked a bit further out so you couldnt see my car but it was right next to it. I drooled for a couple minutes and left...
But anyways, its all good, he didnt have any Type-R stickers although his rims were "puke"....did he have RED emblems???

Looks like that attempt at starting a flame war has been removed. Good.
