Need help puttin my head on my Si motor
Well Ijust bought a 2000 si from auction that was theft recovery, pretty much the only thing that was wrong with is they took the head and tranny. I have every part needed to put this motor back together but I have never done it so Im curious if any of you would recommend I pay someone else to do it or if you think I should do it myself? Also is there any websites that have kinda of a step by step guide on how to do this.. thanks in advance!
try this write up http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/headswap/

They left the engine block and took just the head and tranny?
Strange...
I'd recommend you pull the rest of the motor out of the car, get it all bolted up together, and then reinstall the whole thing at once.
It's pretty much straight foward stuff.
Like they said above, get the repair manual, and take it from there.

Now that I think about it, about the only reason I see someone taking just the head and tranny is because they knew the block was shot.
Stolen recovery, or Insurance Job?
I'd check out that block carefully.

I think they left the block because it pretty much useless since it has vins on it and this way the car came back with a legit block
