Default what are the 1/4 mile times of a jdm d15b?

i'm guessing it will be similar to that of an ex because the D16z6 and the d15b are pretty much up to par with each other.

it will probably be slightly slower than the z6 and the y8. the d16 has the extra displacement.

hello....read the sig....well my car a 94 cx with the d15b vtec with chipped ecu ran a 15.9 at 87 mph...not too bad but it does suck compared to a gsr or b16 but hey...the dohc are not 700 bucks...boost the car reacts better to and pull hard to redline with the greddy kit..n/a i would assume it was around 112whp

I ran a 15.7 in my si with the d16z6. All I had was a crappy intake and 2.25" crushbent exhaust. Now reppin the greddy kits.

haha....we will have to compete with each other. I'll be going for 12's this summer as well. My valve seals are starting to go so I've decided to build my motor up. Good luck to you man. Keep us all updated.

jdm d15's have a little more power than the D16's....so i'm assuming in an EG they will run high 15's / low 16's...

jdm d15 longblocks can be found on http://www.hmotorsonline.com for $500 + shipping

i don't think youd all care, but i just thought it might be tech related, i read at hyperduck that the d15b sohch is a vx block with a z6 head????? don't quote me on it just what i read, just figured id throw it in since were debating over a z6 and the d15b, either one will work i think the d15b is rated at 130 at the crank

hope my nonsence helped someone

JDM d15b, from everything ive read, is essentially a d15 block, d15 crank, the longer VX rods, d16Z6 pistons, and a d16z6 head.. Some of there tranny's also had factory LSD, but i THINK (please correct me if im wrong) that most of the one's with lsd tranny's are from the sohc DC integras they have over there.

I haven't seen anything about them so I wouldn't take the chance.

If they are close to you, that's a different story.

my gay times with d15bvtec 89 crx dx stock exhaust 87 octane
best run, none really differed much
re....,.581
60ft....2.33
330ft..6.448
1/8et..9.90
speed.70.00
1000'..12.881
1/4.....15.429
speed..88.55
all in all i believe it matters what kind of care you take in putting your motor in and how good you drive it but this is just what i expected out of it. more times to come after i get this thing running better.
