help..car idles then sputters..and then eeeww...smell of gas.
I have a b16a hatch in a ek, wiring harness used was a 2000 si and nothing was chopped up or anything like that. Car will be idling and all of a sudden starts sputtering and chek engine light starts flashing. After a minute the smell of gasoline starts creeping its way into the car. there are no fuel leaks...is this a sign of a failing fuel pump or whats going on? The fuel pump in there is the stock hatchback pump with less than 25,000 miles on it. Also..I have not wired the second O2 sensor up, but the car was running fine b4 and never had any problems..so what could it be? ALL SUGGESTIONS ARE APPRECIATED!
