HOW TO: lexus yellow foglight wannabe
begin by removing your foglights mine were 4 philips head screws, if you cant figure this out quit now
materials: krylon stained glass yellow, volkswagen letter openers as pry bars, and a hair dryer. I add a few extras later on
heat up around the lenses with a blow dryer, pry the lenses apart using the letter openers or whaever you have , by this time yell out some choice cuss words and have a beer, in my case since im 16 i had a vanilla coke instead
get a red scotchbrite pad and matte the insides of the lens
here is how they should look matted, above is not yet done bottom is matted with the scotch pad
grab some masking tape and mask the outside of the lens
ready to paint
mask off the metal part of your blbs to because i painted mine
spray light coats until you have a desired shade, i sprayed mine a bit to much and it turned out orange, i was pissed but when it dried it lightened to a deep yellow which was awesome. as you can see i jabbed my bulbs into some cardboard
let the lenses dry heat em up with a blow drier and press them back in, seal it with some silicone
enjoy your new wannabe lexus fogs! i will get better pics later tongight and some illuminated pics
total cost of project : $3.93 canadian thats if you have the tape silicone and scot pad kicken around

these are actually daytime running lights, they dont get hot at all, they take the sames bulbs as regualr tail light bulbs so i dont know about if the paint will melt

hey douche bag, this is HONDA-TECH, not freshalloy or ziliva. remember HONDA, not NISSAN-TECH. anyway they clash w/ the amber signals and dont look good. it would look better if you had the s13 silvia front end w/ an aero bumper and halogen non-projectors, but thats my opinion. either way join the new 240 bandwagon, i jumped on last year.

Wow dude, looks great. I'm going to be messing around with my CRX factory fogs soon. My lenses are all fogged and scratched up. Only thing is they use an H3 bulb. So I might just get a yellow H3 Bulb and pry off the lenses and clean them. I love what you have done though...great write up man!

Speaking of yellow H3 bulbs, I suggest you try out Osram All Season bulbs. The bulbs emit a very nice golden yellow light, plus they're very affordable. You can get a set at http://www.powerbulbs.com/ if you're interested.
