I'm retarded...Seafoam help pls.
Well, thanks to suggestion of you guys on this site. I've bought SeaFoam to clean my internals up a little. My question is: where's the vacum line to suck this stuff into the engine. I know to some, this is trivial but I'm learning here. If it the one runngint from the intake hose to the valve cover? Do you guys have suggestions/tips when using SeaFoam? Thanks.
hahah that stuff is awsome! My friend has an old 90 accord he was fixing the top end up (chipped valve) so he ran some of that stuff to help clean it up... after the engine sucks it in (i believe you just use any vaccuum on the intake manifold.. i forget which we used for his) take it for an easy trip down the street and watch the plumes of smoke lol.
I understand it smokes. Can I use any vacum hose from the intake manifold? Like one of the to hoses above the air intake pipe at the intake manifold? I just don't wan to screw anything up here.
It's a liquid that can go into several areas of your car: tranny, fuel tank, oil crankcase, throttle body. I'm going for the throttle body today. Its supposed to clean the internals really well. You leave the stuff in your car.
For the area I'm hoping to do today, It'll cause my exhaust to smoke and smell bad for a couple mintues but that supposedly means its working. I've never tried it before so I'm trying to make sure I'm doing it write before I mess up my engine.

yes, you can use any vaccuum line that goes into the intake. Like i said, I can't remember which we used on his... It was recommended to him by quite a few people who either work on cars directly or deal with parts. Didn't help him obviously... missing a chip out of a valve isn't going to be fixed by that stuff. Just pump it in for a few seconds or whatever the heck the bottle says, leave your car running.. and bang your done.

hmmm dont think i would be using that crap on my car... alot of those are gimmics... like lucas is nice for domestics but not hondas... lotta times VTEC willnt kick in with lucas... not sayin thats lucas stuff but additives like that.
seafoam isn't an additive... you just run it thru via the intake and it helps remove the carbon build-up. It won't affect VTEC or other settings. It just helps burn the carbon off.
