Ok I got a civic dx hb w 172,xxx miles on it Its a 1990 well I dont know where to start... It burns oil but I check on it everyday to make sure its fine, now heres my problem, sometimes it revs high, once it stalled, and some times it revs up and down up and down I dont have a tach so I dont know whats its revin between, and some times its fine. So I dont know what to do, I looked at my ecu and it pulled a code some people say Im readin it wrong some say Im not, but It blinks 16 times, and stops then 16 times and stops, it wont stop blinkin 16 times in a row.

Now the previous owner told me the head gasket blew and he sent the head out to get fixed which I know he did for a fact. He said he did a tuneup but I dunno, maybe if I get some new sparkplugs tommorow, it will run better? What do you guys think I really need help.

don´t look at my english, i´m from germany and speak only german

when it blinks 16 times, the code means the fuel injector circuit i think.

 

it shouldnt be blinking 16 times in a row, if it was code 16 it would be one long blink and 6 short blinks. be sure to check for those long ones

 

It may be giving you 2 codes at once... like a 7 and a 9 or something like that.

 

The PM 5 ecu does not display its codes the same way the pr3 ECUs do. If it is blining 16 times with no breaks than it is a code 16.

Now since you only have 2 injectors and they are not getting the current voltage it wont deliver the proper amount of fuel (causing anything from crapy idleing to idle surges, to running like crap)

If you know how to check your injectors with a mutimeter than check them. And check the injector plugs.
