Compression test
yeah, I'd do a full retest on it. General rule of thumb I go by is to have the numbers within 10%.
With 240's all over and one 215, you might notice a slight difference in that motor from some others. Other than that, 240 is a great read. Hell, 215 all across would be some nice figures.
Try and get that first cylinder to read a little better.

dump a capful or two of oil down in the #1 cylinder and do a compression test on all of them and see what it says.
This will tell you if it's the rings or not on that first cylinder.
Does the car run ok?

once your clutch is engaged, you can go ahead and take the RPMs up.
I say if it runs smooth, and idles smooth... and you aren't having any troubles from it then leave it alone.
Put some Resoline (spelling?) in the oil. (Oil treatment section of autozone) If it's a JDM engine, and it's just installed, then it might just need to run a little bit and let the rings get situated again. That motor might have sat for a year or more before seeing your car. I've seen the numbers increase after a few miles are put on a motor that has been sitting.
Try that, drive it around, take it into VTEC to make sure everything is working like it should be, and then run the test again in a month.
I think you'll be fine. Just a personal thought.

I was thinking of waiting a bit to do a second test. It is a JDM motor and i do think it was sitting there for a while.
Is it bad to bring it to vtec without breaking in the motor for a bit? I mean it was sitting around for awhile right.

I would hit VTEC once or twice just to make sure that it engages properly.
It should be fine doing that without ANY troubles. I just wouldn't run out and dog on it very hard for a little bit. Just a few hundred miles to let everything seat again.
Change the oil after 100 to 200 miles though... just to get all the old stuff out. No biggie really.
