Pretty sure one of the tech'ies at Kauffman musta knowkced it free... Wheres it located? The sensor? I put more oill in it and no go... I reset ecu and no go... I checked the evel and its too much instead of empty, no go... I listened for a bad oil pump but didnt recognize signs of that either... Car runs good, but lights on! Give me some help guys... I spent an extra 30 minutes diagnosing problems before I left the parking lot before I realized it had to have been bumped... Cause nothing made sense... What do you guys think?

 

oil sending unit is near the oil filter on the back of the block, has a wire on the end and it's screwed into the block

 

my sensor went crazy a while ago... its the oil sensor above or near the oil filter (i forgot). Mine leaked a little oil and it was that switch that was just loose

 

Thanks guys... I am going to look into it... You can tell by my post I was going crazy... One of the techies aligning it rammed it up there and well...It bottomed out hard! Then, I had a light on after that... Im not sure if this was when or if ti caused it... But I got tires on it and no light before i left it, but right after continual light...

 

who did the work on it last? and when did the light start?

 

yeah man, sound like they prob. knocked it when working on the car. It's a plug w/ wires coming out of it right underneath the oil filter; which place did you take it so i know not to go there?

 

Lone Luder: It started as soon as I drove the car after tire installation.... I cranked it up and the light stayed on... I shut it off in a hurry too... LOL... It wasnt on 3 hours earlier when I gave it to them to work on...

LudeyKrus: I took it to the kauffman in Suwanee.. The one by 85... I had no realy choice as to where to take it... Long story short, the tires were free and I had a 120 limit per tire... But I had to take it to that Kauffman because the body shop had an account there... Dumb idiots got what was coming to them... They charged insurance 2400 on what it woulda cost me 230 to do! Their profit margin dropped big time after new tires and alignment becaus eof their ignorance!

 

Tommy, dont ever ever ever ever....take you car to kauffman...THEY SUCK!!! I have heard TOO MANY horror stories about them. I am sorry your body shop made you go there. Next time take your car to the new Discount tire store on sugarloaf parkway and talk to my buddy peter.

Also your oil pressure switch is right below your oil filter.

 

LOL.... some reason when you called me to chat I noitced this conversation went on the same way pretty much! Thanks and I know... I know I know I know... Have you seen my center caps for my rims? Me either!!! kauffman cross-threaded the caps and had to cut them off!!! ******** and then they wouldnt replace them because htey didnt think it was their fault my caps got seized on!

 

OK... Not a good sign..... I got up unde rmy cra and checked to see if the wire was loose and didnt c anything.. I wiggled wires and messed with everything.. There sensor looked to be exposed somewhat though... I havent gone too far in my cra since this event.... Trying to find out what it is... Theres oil and no unusual noise.. Is t possible my pump is going out and I cnat tell? Im a little lost and woudl not like to write it off as a fluke before I am sure it is.... Also, my sunroof no longer opens since this event! I dunno if the open relay came loose or blew up... The close works! Guess I will have to chekc up on that in a while!

 

well things got worse... Drovei it after oil change aorund neigborhood... Didnt come back home! Oil light on.. exhaust cam has metal shavings and no oil on one part of it... Starter spins freely w/o engaging.. car wont run... Just died on me and wont start bakc up... any ideas?
