HASport vs. custom shift linkage...
I have a cut and welded shift linkage in my b16 crx right now. Shifting is not perfect, 5th gear is hard to get sometimes. Not sure if its a synchro problem or just the linkage? What do you guys use, and what do you prefer? I have used the custom one for 4 months now, and i am thinking about buying the hasport one to see if there is any difference....
in my 89 hatch i had a b16 and i used the 93 integra shift linkage and had it cut and welded by a shop and they did it perfectly and total cost was 65 bux and it shifted perfect. but if u cant find a shop[ that knows what they are doing then buy the real thing from hasport
my linkage came loose while driving, I was stuck in 2nd gear and had no shift gates...etc. When I had it towed to the closest mechanic, they tightened it up. But since then, I've been grinding 3rd gear when driving hard. It's fine when shifting at low RPM's, but when gunning it it grinds everytime.
Could the linkage be at fault?

Sorry man, but that quote was retarded. All a HASport linkages, are just 90-93 TEG linkage cut 2_3/8" and rewelded together. Joe from HASport relayed this bit of info to me @ the Valvoline Runoffs 2yrs ago. He said they buy so many linkages from their local Acura dealer, that the Acura corporate office contacted the dealership to se if there was some problem with the shift linkages in TEGs in that area. Pretty funny, huh?

i've had a few friends weld them, and they didn't shift right. i don't like drama with my car, so i spent a little extra. i was just giving my opinion
