Default QM times faster or slower? changing tires to 205-50-15

Will changing the profile of my 205-55-15 tires on my stock rims to 205-50-15 help or hurt in a QM race?

It may very well help.

This gives you a 1.6% shorter overall diameter and thus makes you gearing slightly shorter. You may also get a wider contact patch as well for more launch.

More than the size, the actual tire itself will make more of a diff..

Thoughts?

Tires lowered my 1/4 time from 15.25 to 15.1 and took about .1 off the 60' to 2.21.
