Default Steering wheel adapter question...

never persued this before, so I thought I would ask, (didn't see any related items in search either).

Is there a premade adapter for an S2000 steering wheel that I want to put in my 5th Gen Prelude?

If there is none made right now, can I make it myself? How would I go about it?

Thanks!

You don't need an adapter for an S2000 wheel. It bolts right up. You just have to finangle a little bit to get the cruise control to get that set

That is just too awesome. The airbag wires have no problem as well? (match up perfectly?)

BTW, when u say finagle, do you mean you have to screw, bolt or glue the cruise control buttons?

Is that a pic of your car? thx

Yeah that's my car. I've had the wheel for over a year and I love it.

I can help you with the install if you want.

Horn and airbag wires you dont have to fuss with.

The cruise control, the two harnesses don't match up. So you have to take the individual wires off the prelude harness, and rearrange them into the new harness so they plug in using the s2k harness. Hope that makes sense.

Yeah it makes perfect sense. Did you do a writeup or take pictures of what you need to do to the wiring?

Also, since you said you got it to plug in, does that mean you bought a 'male' plug that would fit the adapter on the wheel, and fit the prelude wires into that ?

Hmmmmmmm, I love the feel of an S2k steering wheel, and it would keep my in STS. Do you know how much it cost?

It's probably pretty expensive. Around $450 a year ago. Now? Not sure, but I'm gonna try to wheel and deal.
