Default cost of ls/vtec

how much would it really cost to make a ls/vtec for my crx. i was thinking pretty much the same set up that they have on c-speed just instead of tapping the head for the pins get the kit that someone was selling on this site. i alsready have all the mounts and linkage and wiring cause i already have a b16.

Well I'm interested in the answer to this question as well. But, I would like to add that you CAN find some of the answer on your own. Just find out how much an LS block is plus different pistons (so you can retain a decent CR) and it depends on if you want a different crank or not. Plus calculate how much gaskets, oil, (needed parts), coolant, belts and time will be.

Also, I wanted to add, would building an LSvtec be cheaper and easier than buying a b16 stroker kit.

websites for b16 stroker kits:
http://www.pacmotorsports.com/products.htm
http://www.modacar.com/product...ASTK/ 2400$ for a 1.8 liter stroker
http://www.excessivemotorsport...+Kits 2284.28$ for a 1.9 liter stroker with a 11.9:1 CR
http://www.digitalracer.com/ca...id=92 JUN 3500$ 1.8 liter

I'm interested in doing a stroker kit but if I can get the RPM's and same reliability out of a LSVtec then I would rather do that.

you do not need to buy pistons. the pr3 pistons you already have, in the b16, will net about 11.3-1 in the lsvtec.
