my sunroof slides back and forth fine, and i can also have it just where its tilted open (about 1" like normal), but when i press the button to close it all the way, the whole sunroof goes down except the leftside back corner , ......it just won't go down, only that corner sticks up?

on the part that won't go down it seems to be something called the "lift link", the part that tilts the sunroof up that is'nt working, ..............i think its either that or maybe its really dirty, , ....................does anyone have any tips? anything to check?, i am kind of new at messing with any kind of sunroof mechanisms
