I just installed my Compustar 2WSS-AS alarm. It replaced my Lynx 2000 2-way alarm. So far, everything works great. The Lynx 2000 did have a LOT more features though. =/ Oh well, I got the compustar for it's range and mute/vibrate on the remote. Hopefully the range is just like people say which is the best....

Anyway, I just wanted to double check something. The brain seems to click like MAD when i arm/disarm and other things. When it disarms for example, the brain clicks like 4-5 times. I mean everything still works as it should, the brain just clicks lot. Is this normal? By clicking, I mean like a relay click.

 

I just got mine about 3 weeks ago. cannot hear any clicking noises

 

err? well i know for a fact it should click at least every time the parking light turns on... lots of others have also said it should click when the ebrake is up if your car is running which mine does....

even my viper clicked when the parking lights flashed.....

 

you will hear 2 clicks for every one flash.

once when it energizes, and once when it 'lets go'

 

Ok, I just checked... that's exactly what mine does. Every time the parking light flashes, it clicks twice...

So on arm.... it clicks two times (1 parking light flash)....

and on disarm..... it clicks 4 times (2 parking light flashes)...

So this is normal? Just seems weird that's all.. Everything is working fine...

 

yup. a relay is a relay.
noise is just a byproduct of the 'action'
