Timing Belt Replacement Interval
i'm following SEVERE conditions schedule because i live very close to work and i only drive 3 mi. per trip.
acura owner's manual - 105k
helms service manual - 60k
local honda dealer - 90k
edmunds.com maintenance schedule - 60k
when should i change my timing belt and water pump? the consensus among integra owners seems to be 90k. but why? neither the owner's manual nor the helms service manual say 90k. what is this 90k number based on?

I did mine at 70k and the belt seemed to look alright, but was starting to wear. I just did a civic at 90k and its belt seemed pretty worn. Better to be safe than sorry. If that belt goes or slips, you'll be looking at a head job.
