Default Trimming Bumpstops?

Ok im not totally clear on why to do this but i would like to know because i dont think mine are trimmed and im about to install some kybs and was just wandering if i should do it while i have everything out. will this make the car sit lower? the only reason im asking that question is because some guy posted a pic of his accord and the front was really high and he said he had not trimmed the ones in front yet. later

cutting the bumpstops (at least in my experience) will not affect ride height at all. The reason you do it is to compensate for the new suspension setup, so you dont have as much suspension travel.

I am dropped on progess springs which is a 2.0" drop, i cut the bumpstops pretty much in half and it has been smooth ever since. are you on HR sport or race?

Cutting the bumpstops will give you MORE suspension travel. If you don't, then your suspension will bottom out much easier.

well im on sports. i guess that explains why i feel like im bottoming out on big dips when i hit em kinda fast when im really not. the car isnt actually bottoming out its the suspension right? well thats what i thought the pic and the comment from that member kinda confused me. thanks guys
