To register a Canadian car in the US all my roommate needed was a letter from Honda of Canada stating the car met all US safety and emission requirements.
It was an easy letter to acquire, they faxed it to the seller, he handed it to my roommate upon purchase of the car in question.

So, it may work the same for US cars being sold to Canadians.

Hey, good luck! call your DMV and ask too!

you have to get permission from the financing company to move the car out of the US - or else they will repo it and sue you for breach of contract.

GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING AND CONSULT A LAWYER.

Be warned.
