Default Starter is Constantly Engaged (B16A)

I can hear it coming on and off intermittently, i dont drive the car much, since i dont want to burn it out. What is a likely cause of this? wired up wrong?
Thanks in advance.

It could be a faulty ignition switch. But first I'd try to replace the starter with a known good one, and see what happens. Have a friend let you borrow his.
