Default dropped my lude, one little detail

Ok, I dropped my rear's today on Kyb Agx's and Skunk 2 coilovers... I didnt finish me rear completely... I didnt remember cotter pins for it and dont want to use weak old ones... So, tomorrow I am going ot get some new ones and replace my wheels and lower it to the ground... Right now its jacked up and I didnt have to compress a thing for the new shocks to get them back on.... Right now the coilovers are hanging loosely on there? Is this right? Once I put wiehgt on them I understand they will compress and lower, bt right now theres a 1/2" gap between the metal part of the coilover and the top mount... And there all the way up on heightest height... Will pressure from weight on my suspension cause the springs to settle right in the slot for them and to sit right? If so, will I ever encounter a problem since everytime I lift the car up the springs are going to come free and reset themselves once lowered again?

it was like that on my Accord (when i had it). I had GC on it with KYB AGX's. And the space will be there everytime you raise you car off the ground high to work on it. after time they might just stick to the top of the shock tower, that what mine did. I didn't have a problem i just had to watch the spring as i was lowering the car back down. thats it

thanks man... just the answer I was looking for.... anyone else ?
As far as the skunk 2's they r workign great considering I havent put my tires back on yet or even done the front 2.. I got both my shocks/coilvers for next to nothing... Ebay works wonders... Payed 300.50 for kyb agx's to my front door(means shipping included)... I bought the skunk 2's used for 115.00+15 shipping... So, 430.50 for the whole setup.... Damn chepa if you ask me... Best deal Ove seen other than that was 330 on groupbycenter.com for the kybAgx's and 300.00 even for the skunk 2's... I saved over $200 and thats minus shipping... I waited for 4 months shopping for both... Bought them within 2 months of each other.. College out, Im dropping... Plus, I just got 4 free tires for my car!(126 or less per tire which leaves me choices like crazy!) You may have read my other posts to as why... wreck, idiot body shop, warped tires, loud noise, almost died... So, now I get all that and 500 in tires+ an alignment for FREE! Life is good for me right now, but the shocks were being an *** a little while ago somy happiness isnt to high... Hell, ppl who win the lottery are only temporarily happy, everything material is always temporary and relative... All in all I'm shitting my pants because I basically am going to be able to afford my junk this summer instead of working for tires/suspension... Now, I'll be workign for paint job and headers... Time just sped up and I got lucky!
