Newest item in my collection
of cell phones that is.
It is a Panasonic GD55. GSM technology owns you all...
I shall call it... Mini phone...

Cover of the manual (looks to be in Thai judging by an e-mail address on the cover. Maybe turbopanda knows.):

Glad there was also an Engrish one.

no the interface isn't dated... the phone was just released... That being said though, I can't figure out why my screen says Voicestream and not T-Mobile like the rest of my phones, not really a big deal, it works just the same.

it says tmobile cuz the guy who sold it to you probably had is locked to voicestream before he unlocked it and sold it to you. That is very likely the chance. As for your phone... not bad. Nice n small i guess so its easy to carry around... but looks kinda ugly in my opinion... looks scrunched up. I prefer my GSM oldskool as it may be... still a classic... Nokia 8890
no this phone was new never opened. I have T-Mobile as my GSM provider, and all my other phones, which are locked to T-Mobile, say T-Mobile in the alpha tag when I am on a home network. It's only this unlocked one which says Voicestream. No big deal to me since the phone works the same.
The 8890 is really a dope phone, I've always liked it.

Why would you go GSM when you could get CDMA? Travel to Europe or something? CDMA is by far a more secure and expandable network.....but if you really like T-Mobile then i guess you can rock it all you want! BTW yes I do work for Verizon Wireless

Yes I do travel...
Also, after having used every other type of mobile system including analog, I have come to the conclusion that GSM is a superior standard.
I will say this though, out of all other services I have had, Verizon was the best next to T-Mobile. Verizon is the only company with repeaters in DC metro tunnels which is pretty cool.
