Default Possible 1st time CRX owner

I am looking at an 86 CRX si the guy is asking 300 for it, it has a bad valve according to him, what kind of mod limitations am I going to run into? are any of the 88-91 after market parts compatible?

IMO I would look for a 88-91. The aftermarket doesn't really support first gens. However there are enough people that have modified them so you would find some help from fellow members but The aftermarket sucks for them.

they rock man....you can make one of them really fly. super light weight cars, and a 86-89 dual cam integra motor supposedly basically bolts into it. we're gonna do something like that into my buddies 86 crx, only with a big carb

I am really new to this, the last car I built was a 1963 Chevy II 2 door post, so this whole little car thing is really new, is there a huge difference in parts between the 1st gen and the second gen ? for example: I want to put a better anti-sway bar kit on the front and back some adjustable coil-overs for a more positive and responsive cornering car, can I use the same aftermarket parts? and say I want to convert to oversized crossdrilled disc brake set-up , is this possible? thank you very much for you help.

uhhh if you want to do those kind of mods you need a 2nd gen
i dont think there are any sway bar kits or coilover kits for a 1st gen
