I have a b16 in my 91 crx y1 tranny. Every gear shifts smooth at high rpm's except 3rd. At low rpm's 3rd will engage most of the time without grinding. I have a clutch master stage 3 clutch and fly wheel installed. My shift linkage is a ha sport.
This is very aggrivating when at the track shifting into 3rd listening to your tranny making a grinding noise. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanx

your syncros for second to third are gone

 

youdon't need to get a new tranny just get the synchros replaced.

How would I go about getting syncros for a Y1 tranny? Are any USDM tranny parts compatible?

look at the link I posted up before, also on hybrid.hondas.jp, someone there said that the d series synchros 3-4 are the same as the b series 3-4-5 http://honda.hybrids.jp/forum/...&vc=1
