I need some advice....
Im looking to buy a 95' integra GSR, but i heard that integra's had problems in 95'. So does anyone know what kind of problems there are , and how serious the problem/problems are? The car has 57k miles on it. Thanx guys....
also people say to get the 2nd year of a car in production so that after the 1st year they work out the bugs........ does anyone know what bugs they had in 1994 that they worked out in 1995?
The only "bug" I've heard about Integras is that you'll want to replace the timing belt at 85k miles, or bad things might happen.
Also, the shifter will suck *** when trying to get into 1st or reverse, but this is common to all Honda 5 speeds.

Do a search for Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's). They are like a recall, but not safety related, and not something the dealer is obligated to fix, although they should, and sometimes do.
Look out for
>The infamous A-pipe rattle - usually heard at around 3500 rpm coming from the engine bay.
> Moonroof chatter - not opening or closing smoothly
> Loud clutch engagment/disengagement
> Rough shifting / tranny synchros
Good luck...

If you drive your car hard in anyway, I can't see why you would want leather seats. My cloth seats hold me in place much better than any leather seats, plus they weigh less.
Thanx alot guys, the reason i was asking is because the car is at a acura dealer and its really cheap, its a red 95 gsr wit 57k for $8100, thats the best deal i ever saw. I heard that in 95 the vtec engine is different than the 96's on. So i wanted to make sure that there wasnt a problem that the car might have. So im probably gonna pick it up this weekend. Thanx again guys....
I have a '95 GSR that I bought in April of '96 with only 6k miles on it. Since I've had it almost its whole life, I feel pretty confident in telling you that there are no siginifigant bugs. It does, however, have some perks that other years do not. I believe that 94 and 95 are the only years to have an oil cooler, they have a better fuel pump, they have OBD 1 emission systems (better for mods), the best-looking OEM wheels (IMO)......... need I go on?
Since I have leather, too, I don't suffer from the lack of it being standard.
The most common problems with this car, and virtually all Integras (and most Hondas) of similar age and mileage include: timing belt needs to be done at ~75k miles (recommended service by Acura), because you don't want this breaking. The OEM radiator tends to fail (mine did ~4 mos. ago). 80k+ miles is usually the beginning of the end for the stock clutch (depending on driving) -- mine is still holding strong at 94k miles. Many people I know (myself included) needed to replace the clutch master and slave cylinders, as well as the brake master cylinder -- also depending on wear on the car.
All in all, you're still looking at an awesome car, with great mileage, for an exceptional price. I would buy it in a second, no doubts about it.
Good luck with the new car.

also, in 94+95 models tegs, the shock bushing on the rear LCA freezes up BAD! so if you ever want to lower you car, you'll need to replace the bushings for sure.
everyone else pretty much mentioned everything....except for usual honda stuff:
thin paint, thin sheet metal, slow power windows, no torque, etc....
i'm sure you'll be happy....it sounds like a killer deal!
