Default Value of a 92 prelude si

My coworker is trying to get a 92 prelude and was wonderinf if you gusy think it was a fair deal

92 prelude si in black with 100k miles
dc sports ceramic header
muffler
alarm
volk gt-n style rims with falken ziex tires.

the dealership is selling it for 5500 to him..
any opinions?

That could be a pretty good price or you could be getting screwed, there's no good way to know unless you see the car and inspect it yourself.

For that much, make sure they did the timing belt & water pump change near 90,000. If they didn't do it already, I'd immediately deduct $500 from my offer.

yeah find out as mentioned if timing belt/water pump has been done. Then ask them to do a compression test on it. If the body is in good shape and the compression numbers are good + timing belt work has been done. I would say that's a fair price unless it's and auto but I doubt it.

new hampshire equals alot of snow equals prelude turned into snow plow. my freind lives up there i went up there in my lude and got stuck so many times. too much snow up there to drive a lude.

I just got it last winter, haven't had any problems especially with the amount of snow we got. With new tires it ran awesome in the snow when I needed it to...but I just used my g/f's car when it snowed out so the lude wouldn't get wrecked

plus it depends on where you live as well, most towns can't afford to plow as much because of budget cuts and our extreme winter last year...but my town is fairly wealthy and can afford to plow whenever there is need.
