Default Torque converter question?

I am wondering if you upgrade to a performance torque converter with a higher stall speed, would it affect the shifting between gears at all? Would it only be useful during the launch? Since I am squeezing nitrous, I am wondering if there are any solutions other than upgrading the entire tranny in order for me to be able to spray through shifts.

if you want your tranny to survive many shots of nitrous then you will have to spend some serious cash to get it in shape to withstand the stress oh high HP during a shift. Most autos retard the throttle and timing to make the shifting as stress free as possible on the unit.
