How about this clutch/flywheel setup?
Hey guys, I'm ready to order. I think I have decided. How does this sound?
Exedy Street/Sport clutch kit - 36% stronger than stock.
Fidanza 7.5lb flywheel.
I have a b16 with intake/exhaust/test pipe/chipped ECU/CTR cams/vafc.
Thanks guys

Well your post count is about how much that opinon was worth in canadian cents. 6k? whats your justification, or is this more misinformation you wish to spead to the masses of already dumb know it all swappers. THis kid needs a clutch asap, be helpful.
As my best friend NextekHatch said, I'm in desperate need of a clutch, and would like something a bit more aggressive than OEM, but not an ACT 6 puck. It's a great clutch, hell, I used to have it, but I don't want something that aggressive for this car. I only asked for a simple opinion on the setup. Besides, what other mod for $460 shipped will show as much of a difference as this? Nitrous? That's just about it. In my opinion a clutch/flywheel is money very well spent, especially when you're in need of them.
What you want sounds fine. It been proven good in many occations.
I personally would go with a little heavier chomemoly flywheel, but thats just me.

yeah I'd go with a heavier flywheel instead. 7.5 lbs is too light for the streets IMO. especially with that clutch. other then that you have a good setup.

you will have trouble getting the car moving from a stop. you will have trouble up hill or with a heavy load. revs drop really fast if your not on the gas so you better be a quick shifter.

Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch...perfect for what you need! Had it in my 92 LS back in the day and a lot of DB2 owners or YS1 tranny owners love this clutch. If your looking for a flywheel, ACT makes some nice ones. Stick with this Nick and you'll be loving it all over again!
I have a 7.5lb flywheel, and have no trouble launching and absolutly no trouble whatsoever on hills. I have no idea why it would make a damn bit of difference on a hill. People will think the car is your first manual for about a week until you get used to it, but then it will feel like second nature and gives better throttle repsonse. Also, driving "under load"....no problems at all. up hill, down hill, racing or saving gas...even hauling two TV's (tight fit) and my buddy...it still acted the same as when its just me in the car. Its far less extreme than what everyone makes it out to be. Dont worry, this wont make your car anymore of a "race car" than it was before.
