Alternative to Hondabond?

Is there an alternative to hondabond. That stuff is expensive and I like to know if anyone has used anything else.

Which one would you recomend to use for the VC gasket and the cam end plug? Im doing a valve adjustment and I will be replacing these Items as I do it. Thanks for the info it's greatly appretiated.
