Default 4g 90' Sedan speaker size

i have a 1990 Accord EX Sedan, i want to replace the speakers and i have no clue on what size i need. I've checked different sites and i got different answers. anyone know what size i need for the rear deck and doors? oh, i have another question... i believe i need new cv joints... dunno exactly what to do, any ideas and prices on how much this will be to get fixed? thanx

It all depends on the trim level of your ride man.

4th Gen:
DX-LX= 6.25" in the doors and 6.25" in the rear deck
EX-SE= 5.5" in the doors and 6x9" in the rear deck

you can go to the dealer or a junk yard and get the DX-LX front door brackets so you can fit the 6's in your EX-SE. I got the brackets from the dealer for $17!

as for the axles, call your local repair shop and get a quote. If you have the tools you can do it yourself fairly easily, if you have a 5spd it is also a perfect time to change the MTL too. Drain the tranny first and then replace the axles, then fill the tranny back up. BEWARE: don't pull out both axles at the same time! replace one and then the other. Bad things can happen

at a shop, axles should be about $150-200 each side to replace

Not true, It depends where it was made. Trim level dont matter.
You just have to take the old ones out & measure them.

ok... heres the thing... i have an auto dont laugh, its my car before i get my car... my first car, and I didnt buy it! lol anyway, IF i was to do the axles myself would it be hard at all? after the **** me and my friends did to one of their 98 civics im feeling we can do axles pretty easy. but the problem is... i dont feel like driving home and having my **** fall! lol whats involved here, remember, auto tranny, 90' EX 4 door [F22a4], a lil help? might turn out to be the last thing i do to this machine if it doesnt work out right. lol
