the reason i ask this is because i ordered a set and it looked used. but, after calling the place i ordered them from, they told me that they can assure me that they haven't been driven on. just would like to see a pic to make sure before i send them back. i went to their site and they don't have any pics.

 

i dont have a pic... but the ones i have seen... have the new green color on them but the surface that actuals is in contact with the rotor is the normal brake material... a way to tell if they are used is simply look at the other side of the pad (oposite the contact are) when the piston in the caliper is in contact with this there is no way imo that it will stay looking new... there would be some sort of wear

 

thanks for the reply. yeah, the contact part, i can't tell if it is used because all four are even. and i did check the part that would be against the piston in the caliper. no piston mark on the pad but the letters are a little worn off and there are a bunch of smudge marks and that is the reason why i asked.

 

maybe it was their demo that they had out... i really dont think someone would send u pads that were "tried out"... besides... they are good pads and such a person trying them out would probably want to keep them
