Right now I have a 92 civic dx 4 door with 13" wheels. Should I lower the car or get some new wheels/tires? Getting both are out of the question right now because I am a poor college student and want to have enough money on hand if I ever find a nice HB. I also have a EX guage cluster so my speedometer is screwed up with the 13's.

 

Lower it first. IMO theres nothing as silly looking as a car with nice wheels in 4x4 mode.

I agree with RangerDan a car in "4x4" mode does look stupid. However, driving around on stock wheels and tires, looks like your suspension is shot. Either way your car is going to look stupid for a while. I went throught the same crap when I lowered my car. I completely understand the college thing, I'm doing it too. My advice is just be patient. Good Luck

 

just save up enough $$ so you can do what you want at the same time
