All I have to say is Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet !
thanks for the compliments guys
...well hopefully the car wont be just LS ...but im really pOOOR so the VTEC sitting in my room is just for show
anyhow...its summer time and we all wanna have a decent looking car especially if you have a 92 like mine and have hidden rust under fenders and all..so hers my little write on paint........
1st........Find a locaL Auto paint and supplies shop
2nd.......Aquire all your tools before hand....
tools= sander
sanding block
Compressor......needs atleast 26 gallons to keep consistent PSI to spray
Spray gun..paint gun
Sand paper...wet/dry
220-320 to smoothen cars original paint....sanding to bare metal is not
necessary....unless you are repairing dings and dents and they need to be
filled. Wetsand is for after the finish to take blemishes out
Masking tape and paper.....HOME DEPOT...mask all and remove all you can
fenders panels.....bumpers.....hatch glass.....etc....up to you
3rd..if you are not doing a color change then just sand down till your original paint is smooth with a 220-320 grit sand paper....u can do this with a machine...
4th fill any spots or dings with bondo after you sand that area down to the metal.....
5th apply primer with sealer....... allow 30min dry time
6th base coat......2 coats 30mins between each coat ....time yourself with a timer
7th clear coat-----2 coats 40min between each coat.....remember move quickly adjust your gun and test spray on something else before u spray the car.......
keep 8-12 inch away from spray area.......THE BEST WAY TO PREVENT RUNS IS TO HAVE NO RUNS SO DON'T DROWN THE PAINT onto the car
..........
then allow atleast one day of dry time until you can wetsand ....buff......and polish your car...... depending on the materials you are using......
Well if you have read this long *** write up good luck to you
