Accord wheel bearing HELP!!!
On my 96 Accord, my front right wheel bearing goes went out and when i lift the car up i can manually shake the wheel while its connected so i know at this point my bearing is trash. Well i got to honda and purchased a brand new bearing and hub and install it on my car.
The Very NEXT DAY when i drive it, it drives perfect for like 10 miles and then i hear horrible squeaking noises comming from the front right side and its the same noises i heard when i had a bad wheel bearing. Well low and behold, you can shake my rim just as much as you used to when the bad bearing was on there.
I think that the bearing or hub (which are brand new OEM honda parts) is defected b/c i even went as far as to TQ all the bolts to HELMS specs.
Any help would be appreciated. I have to have the car back on the road for thursday 8th, so this needs to be taken care of quickly.
Thanks,
Elijah

Well with the wheel on tight, the whole wheel wobbles the rotor.
I took off the wheel and wiggled the rotor and saw that the axle was moving too.
Retightened the axle nut and it was already hella tight, put the wheel back on and it still wobbled.
The screws that hold the bearing to the spindle arm are not loose either.
Checked out my ball joints and tie rods and they are good, only thing i can honestly thing of, is a defective bearing. I drove 9ish miles to work and right before i got there, it started sqealing, (rotor rubbing pad). Going to bring it to honda to get a mechanic to look it over.

Well i finally figured it out!!! Surprisingly it was that i was using a prelude passenger axle with my swap for like a year so far and now its giving me problems.
The deal is, the axle nut isn't having enough threads to pull the outer shaft tight enough to press against the hub, causing my bearing failure and hub failure. The slight gap gave the rotor enough room to lean and rub agains the brake pads and have a really lound and annoying squealing sound.
Moral of the story is...USE ACCORD AXLES with your H22 swap.
