What interior harnesses are you talking about? The one that goes under the carpet up front (chassis harness) or the rear one that runs along the drivers side to the rear for like the taillights and such? I had a 91 DX that was also automatic (red your sig) and I am swapping it over to a manual and the d16a6 motor and was just going to swap and cut and splice the wires that I needed to change it over but I decied that I would just go ahead and replace the harnesses as well sicne I had them. Well I was just originally going to swap out the main chassis harness and leave the rear one (the one that goes to taillights and such) alone and then just use the Si chassis and motor harness but when I started taking out everything for the auto trans I had noticed a lot of wires that I didnt need anymroe that were apart of the rear harness so I ended up pulling my complete interior and replacing the far rear harness, the chassis harness the dash harness, and then also using the Si motor harness as well. I decided to do it this way even though a big PITA because I didnt want to deal with all of the wiring and such since I would have to run all the wires for MPFI and also then do all the wiring for the auto to manual trans as well and plus I figured I would then not have to worry about not having the wiring messed up as well. And also I figured if in the future I would end up doing a swap of some sort thats less cut and spliced wires in my harness the only ones that I would have to worry about would be the new ones for the swap. I know this went way off your subject but I figured that I would let you know another option that you do have even though it will be more of a PITA then just cutting and splicing the wires that you need but atleast its fail proof!! But so the main harness is different between the DX and the Si especially an auto DX to a Si harness.

Well considering that I have ripped out the interiors and the harnesses out of 4 CRX's now it didnt take me too long. Probably the worst one would be the main chassis harness but even that one wasnt too bad it took me a bit longer cause I repainted my engine bay so I had to wait for the paint to harden before I did it otherwise since I took out the dash and everything it wasnt too bad since I labeled everything when I took it out of the Si and all I did was follow the DX one and took it out while I put the other one in. For the far rear harness with taking out the interior it took me probably about 2 hours with me jumping around with taking out the interior pieces and all of the automatic crap and swapping it. After I got the dash out it took me about a half hour to swap that harness but I also swapped some of the brackets on the dash as well. Probably the worse part was trying to get the sound deadening stuff out along the firewall without wrecking it since those clips can be kind of a bitch but it helps when you have extra clips
It really isnt too bad considering the work that I have already done in stripping the other ones.
