Default took off my valve cover and discovered this

i recently removed my valve cover from my b16a2 and noticed that on the intake side wall is scored. it looks like the valve springs or retainers was or been grazing the walls on high revs.i inspected springs, retainers and lifters, didn't see any evidence of damage to them.my friend did the same to his b18c an discovered the same thing.i'm gonna post some pics soon.but can someone help me out or has anyone encounterd this problem.

Sounds like a non-problem to me. There are marks inside the cylinder head from the machining process; if your valves and springs are fine, don't worry about it.

its part of the machining process when they manufacture the head. nothing to worry about.
