All Honda/Acura shift ***** function the same and are interchangable. The shift boot connectors vary FYI but a lil' DIY could fix that.

I know it unscrews but the boot is attached to the ****. How do you undo that?

the boot will stay attached to the ****- you will need to pop that whole peice of the console off. I would suggest getting a new shiftboot if you are changing shiftknobs- it will be MUCH easier in the long run-especially if you ever want to put the car back to stock as the ****/shiftboot are attached to each other

grab the boot at the top where the seam between the **** & boot is, and pull down. the boot will unclip from the ****.

unscrew ****. lather, rinse, repeat if necessary.

to take off the ****, just pull down on the boot where the boot and the **** meet. after snapping it off, unscrew the **** off and you're done. the boot will be left hanging because it has nowhere to snap into anymore. if you want to fix that probelm, take of the console and shift boot. go get a nut and washer that will fit onto the shifter/**** threading. first screw the nut in then place the washer on top. reinstall the console and shift boot and there you go. the shift bood should be suspended but the nut and washer. screw back the aftermarket **** and then you're all done. the shift **** is in place with out the limp shift boot. if you did it right, it should look stock. now you dont have to spend 30-40 bucks on a new shift boot. hope this helps!
