HID kit, how do i modify my bulb?
I bought an HID kit a couple weeks ago. anyway, im thinking of buying replacement bulbs just incase for a pretty cheap price. Anyway, the bulbs i see are D2S bulbs, and i have a modified 9006 bulb right now in my housing. How would I modify a D2S bulb to fit my 9006 housing? or am I just stuck with these bulb and will I always have to buy 9006 modified based bulbs to fit my housing?
I have this bulb right now, the one on the top.
How could I make this fit?
I know I need that wire that leads from the ballast with the red part that holds the bulb, but how will the bulb stay in place?

OEM stock d2s bulbs will probably not fit into your aftermarket HID conversion kit... i mean you could solder it, but ur risking bad connection and having to mod your wiring... which you probably dont wanna do... and about ur housing... you can modify your socket to fit... ive seen it done b4... but then you would have to use D2s bulbs from there on... which would suck as well... i say stick with the replacement bulsb that were made for ur kit... dont mod anything, if it is not necessary...(just for re-selling purposes, if you wanan go back to stock someday...remember gotta think about the future...) just buy the replacement bulbs made for your kit

ic, does philips make replacement bulbs already modded as a 9006? I don't think i've ever seen them because philips does not make kits. any good companies that make bulbs like the ones i have?

What type of HID conversion kit did you buy? My advice, just go through where you purchased the kit and get the bulbs... i just say this because most of the aftermarket hid conversion kits have different plug connections from ballast to bulb...they all vary... just stick with the company where you got the kit originally from

Rebasing a D2S with adapters is a NO NO. You would never be able to exactly match the focal point leading to mismatched output and color, not to mention glare.
I'd buy a 9006 HID capsule that has a remolded base using injection molding process.

but they don't sell those from philips. Only place I've seen that use philips bulbs with mold injected bases are HID4LESS.COM but they are a little to rich for my blood. Anyone know anyone that sells them?
