Lowering Spring Question
I installed a set of Eibach Pro KIt springs on Tokico Blues on my 2000 Civic Ex Coupe yesterday. My Question is the rear spring on the drivers side is alot lower than the spring on the passenger side. Has anyone had this problem before. I am asking this question before I take it apart encase someone knows what could be the problem. Thanks for any Help.
see how many fingers you can put in the driver side and then the passenger, if you have the wheel tucked then measuer it from the top of the rim... My civic is about 1/4 of a inch lower on one side give or take... The springs totaly match up you can see other civics that sit like that as well.
Do you have your 4-ball bowling bag on the drivers side? that would affect it. I checked my Civic this morning and the passenger side was about 2 inches lower to the ground then the drivers side. Upon further inspection I discovered my rear passenger side tire was completely flat. Hmm, needed a control for this experiment.
On a regular day though, the gap from the wheel to the fender/quarter panel is the same on the driver and passenger side for me (kyb agx + eibach road race). The road races give a 2" drop, so I'd imagine the difference would be more noticable in this case. But then again, the springs are designed for road courses/autocrosses so they may put a little extra effort in keeping the balance I guess?
anyway, thats all I have for ya.. I'll check with my friend who has pro-kits on his integra and see if he's noticed anything.

i put lowering spring on too. there is little drifference in the back only. the back of the passenger is half an inch lower than the back of the drivers side. u cant tell the difference though.
Yes. This is normal on some G6 Civics.
The shop measured and checked. It's ok according to them. But with my figer test, it more lower on the rear driver side. There are several theories. The one I like to think is that we (U.S.) drivers make more right turns (on and off ramps in fwy), so more negative camber is built in by Honda. The effect is greater when lowered, like our cars.
